FRC Team 10256, Team Scrap Metal, is a community team based in Gilbert Arizona. Team Scrap Metal is currently recruiting! Our team is currently made up of two students and four mentors.
Our mission is to expand STEM opportunities in our community by creating a competitive learning environment that motivates students with a world in which science, technology, and creativity can be combined to teach, learn, and grow.
Our vision is to create a community of confident engineers that inspires each student to be a high achiever and act as a role model in their community. We encourage and inspire others to increase the level of play in Arizona while maintaining FIRST core values (discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork, and fun).
Team Scrap Metal is dedicated to promoting women in STEM. We are working towards becoming a regional partner of FIRST Ladies. Additionally, we actively recruit from clubs or groups with a majority female membership.
Team Scrap Metal communicates through Discord and uses Google Drive to manage all documents. These documents are made through the various Google products such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. Additionally, graphic documents are created using Canva.
