In 2025, VRP spent over 2,500 hours with local teams.

Team 698, Hamilton Microbots

Team 698 utilized our workspace for both part fabrication and robot testing during the season. For the remainder of the year, we supported the Microbots by providing training, supporting their inclusion goals, and giving advice when requested.

This is what the Microbots had to say about VRP’s involvement this past year.

“VRP was an invaluable sponsor for our team throughout the 2025 season, providing critical access to fabrication tools like the manual mill and lathe, as well as workspace and field elements that significantly improved our build and testing process. Their mentorship in mechanical design and programming helped elevate our robot’s performance, and their overall support played a key role in our team’s success.”

Team 1165, Team Paradise

During the season, Team Paradise had their regional transportation cancelled by the school due to weather. With extra space in our van, we were able to transport 1165’s pit and robot to the 2025 Arizona North Regional.

Team 1165 become sponsored after the official season had ended. Some of their members attended our training sessions during the offseason, and we were able to support them at their offseason competitions as well.

In 2026, we expect to provide them with in-person mentorship as well as online design reviews.

Team 6479, AZTECH Robotics

6479 is a team with a consistent desire to grow, making them an awesome team to work with. The past couple years the team has had a more specific focus on team longevity, having created and iterated on training for the team. 6479 looks to VRP for training materials and insight, as well as advice on how to improve their processes.

This is what the AZTECHs had to say about VRP’s involvement this past year.

“VRP helped our team greatly through manufacturing support and knowledgeable mentors. Whenever we needed input on a design’s feasibility, help with machining a large quantity of parts, or advice and assistance on applying for awards, VRP was always there to help. There is no way we could be in the position we are now without a sponsorship from VRP.”

Team 9059, COLTech Robotics

Although we were not able to attend many of their meetings in-person in 2025, we were able to provide 9059 with CAD insight and resources as well as offer support at their competitions.

This is what COLTech had to say about VRP’s involvement this past year.

“VRP greatly aided our team by allowing us to advance our design process through CAD, lessons, and mentorship. Continuing in this vein, we were offered critical parts upon many occasions, without which we would have not been as successful as we were. The help of VRP was critical to our success, both materially and experientially.”

Team 9704, IgKnighted

Team 9704 had a great season this past year that included a regional win and FRC’s ‘Rising All-Star Award’. Leading up to this win were numerous meetings lasting 10+ hours or going until 2:00 am at our workspace.

This is what IgKnighted had to say about VRP’s involvement this past year.

“Our team was helped by VRP through mentorship, part fabrication, design help, training, workshop usage, and robot/tool transport.”

Team 10256, Team Scrap Metal

As our in-house team, Team Scrap Metal receives our support around the clock. This year, we were able to create a unique robot we were all proud of and learned a lot about a lot!

Team Scrap Metal is constantly looking to improve. Using the lessons we learned about time management, design, and awards, Team Scrap Metal spent their offseason organizing, defining their processes, and setting goals for the upcoming season.

Their 2026 goal? Qualify for the World Championship by winning the 2026 Utah Regional and a judged award.

Team 10491, Subatomic Smarticles

Although they did not ask for much support, they were able to achieve both the NASA and Gene HAAS Foundation grant by utilizing our nonprofit status, which funded the majority of their season. Although the team dissolved at the end of the season, we are glad to have given students the opportunity to test their limits.

Team 11100, Team Epsilon

Team 11100 is a rookie team for the 2026 season. Similar to Team Scrap Metal, Team Epsilon competed as a “pre-rookie” team at the Arizona Robotics League (ARL) qualifiers and championship.

Having received a router during the off-season, we were able to manufacture some plates for them before the ARL Championship.
